Big Sky Stories

provides the children, young people and their families of the NSW outback a place to gather and be inspired through sharing the world of books, storytelling and creative arts activities.

Vision

All children of far west NSW share books, stories, songs and rhymes every day from birth with the important people in their lives to make a positive impact on their future and the community.

Mission

To encourage community understanding and investment in early creative and language opportunities for children

To enable caregivers with skills and confidence to lead creative, artful language experiences and shared story opportunities with the children in their lives.

To equip children with access to quality books and creative experiences.

Values

A belief in the inherent dignity of humanity.

Responsibility to work for the collective good.

Working creatively alongside, and on behalf of our community.

Big Sky Stories would like to acknowledge the Wilyakali people as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we are based and to the Barkandji Nation in which we work and travel. We pay our respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
