Yes, Big Sky Stories is a not-for-profit public company and yes, Big Sky Stories is a registered charity.

But we still sell stuff. It’s what we do with our profits that makes us different.

We operate as a social enterprise model.

This means three things:

We have a clear social purpose that is beneficial for the community

You’ve read our front page, so you know what we’re about
Children - creative arts – language – literacy

We generate income from selling items for profit

Shop with our business and you’ll be supporting
Big Sky Stories

Everything we sell and do is for the benefit of the community of far west NSW, more than it is for the benefit of us as Big Sky Stories founders and staff.

Big Sky Stories can’t do the work it does without people and just like you, we have bills to pay, so yes we do take home a wage. This is considered a Big Sky Stories expense, just like keeping the lights on, the landlord happy and the many other outgoings that we have to pay to function.
